Beschreibung

Saflax - Anise - Pimpinella anisum - 200 seeds - Increases the love affair and refines the taste of Mediterranean drinks. Our cultivation set contains everything you need for successful cultivation. An English mini greenhouse (17 (L) x 10 (W) x 13 (H) cm), germ-free dried coconut fiber substrate, 2 pots, pricking rod and plant sign. Worth knowing: Awarded the Medicinal Plant of the Year 2014, the ancient Egyptian medicine used anise as a remedy for coughs, snakebites, digestive disorders, respiratory infections and even melancholy. And the physician Dioscurides described its stimulating effect on the lust for love, which made anise one of the most widely used plants in Roman and Greek society. The annual plant with its heart-shaped basal leaves can reach a height of 30 - 50 centimeters. After the white bloom from June to August, it forms egg-shaped fruits.. Active forces: Tea: Pour one to two teaspoons of crushed, crushed fruit with 250 ml of boiling water and strain the brew after ten minutes of steeping. The tea is said to have a calming effect on intestinal complaints and also be helpful for colds and coughs. In the kitchen: The sweet-tasting spice is often used for Christmas cookies and desserts and can of course be found in drinks such as sambuca, absinthe, pastis, raki or ouzo. Anise leaves can be used fresh like tarragon or dill. The typical aroma is created by the essential oil anethole. Natural Place: Anise originally comes from the Orient and is cultivated in southern Europe (mainly in Italy and Spain) and in Russia. Cultivation: From April onwards, anise can be preferred on the windowsill. Place the seeds about 0.5 cm deep in the moistened growing medium and cover them accordingly with soil. Keep the soil moist, but not wet, by re-moistening it daily, preferably with a water sprayer. Cover the cultivation vessel with cling film, which you have provided with holes. This protects the earth from drying out. Every two to three days you should remove the film for 2 hours. This prevents the formation of mold on the cultivation soil. Place the seed container in a bright and warm place without direct sunlight. As soon as there is no longer any threat of night frosts from mid-May, the young plants can also be transplanted outdoors. From April onwards, anise can also be sown directly in rows 20 to 30 centimeters apart. Place: The location for anise should be sunny and warm. A humus-rich, well-drained and slightly calcareous soil is ideal. Care: The plant does not need any additional fertilization. The soil should be kept evenly moist during the growth phase. The fruits fall off easily. We therefore recommend pruning when the fruit is starting to ripen in September / October, when the fruits have turned a gray-green color. Tie the herb in loose sheaves and let the fruits ripen for one to two weeks until they turn brown and the seeds have developed their full aroma. Then thresh the fruit out of the herb. Carefully dry the fruits at a maximum of 35 ° Celsius and store them in a dark glass protected from light. During Winter: Anise is annual and will be re-sown in the coming year.
