SWEET PEPPER  \n Also known as Pepper or Bell Pepper. \n Like its relative, the Chili Pepper, Sweet Pepper originated in South America and dates back to around 5000 BC. \n As with many other plants from this region the seeds were carried throughout the world by Spanish and Portuguese explorers. \n Sweet Pepper is a plump, bell shaped vegetable that comes in many different colours, green, red, yellow, orange, purple, brown and black. \n Known scientifically as Capsicum annum, they are members of the nightshade family which also includes potatoes, tomatoes and eggplants. \n Sweet Pepper fruit usually features three or four lobes but there are also varieties that have a more tapered shape and no distinguishing lobes. \n Fruits can range in size from two to five inches in diameter and two to six inches in length. \n Inside the thick flesh is an inner cavity with edible bitter seeds and a white spongy core. \n Sweet Pepper has a delightful crunchy texture and a delicate flavour. \n Green and purple varieties have a tangy almost bitter flavour, while the red, orange and yellows are sweeter bordering on fruity. \n Our specially formulated colour mixture is designed to give you maximum colour, texture, taste and cropping potential. \nDetailed growing instructions are on the back of each packet \nPacket contains: 30 seeds approx. \nIMMEDIATE \n \nDesign and colouring of packets may occasionally vary. \nWe want you to be happy with your purchase and all our Sweet Pepper seed is checked and inspected visually before packing. .
