Ground loop video isolator, also known as ground loop audio-video isolator, is designed to eliminate interference in CCTV video or audio signals caused by ground loop voltage. Ground loop interference (GEI) occurs due to potential differences between the two ends of a video cable. This interference, caused by differing ground potentials in video signal references, typically affects the shielding layer of the video cable and the outer casing of video equipment. Under normal conditions, the shielding layer voltage is 0V; however, when a ground loop exists, the voltage fluctuates around 0V, potentially leading to severe video distortion, tearing, and interference such as horizontal lines, reticule patterns, or snowflake noise. When video signals are transmitted over distances exceeding 100 meters, high ground loop voltages can develop, which may damage equipment.This single-channel video isolation device helps manage input and output signal balance and provides isolation for audio or video signals.
