Background: According to Norse mythology, the father of the gods, Odin, had two ravens, Hugin and Munin. He sent them out on reconnaissance every day so that they could report everything that was happening on Earth. The raven was therefore considered a symbol of knowledge. It was also known as an animal of the battlefield. The runes represent the 24 characters of the so-called Elder Futhark. This runic alphabet was used by the Germanic tribes until the 8th century. Celtic knots have neither a beginning nor an end and therefore serve as a symbol of infinity or eternity. The Wotan's knot (Valknut) consists of three intertwined triangles and represents the power of Wotan/Odin. The "Helm of Awe" is also known as the "Helm of Terror." The symbol originates from Iceland and is called "Aegishjalmur" or "Aegishjalmr" in the original Icelandic. The symbol was intended to protect warriors in battle and intimidate enemies. Today, Aegishjalmur is very popular as a protective tattoo. "Odin's Horn" is a combination of three drinking horns – an allusion to Odin's lavish drinking parties in Valhalla with his fallen warriors.
